SAILIS is the database of digitised South Australian land title records (post the Real Property (Torrens Title) Act of 1858).
The database was created largely for internal use by the South Australian Land Titles Office, which was sold to a private company in 2018. Searching is free and copies of most original land title documents for the period 1858-1992 may be viewed, copied and down loaded for personal study and research.
The State Library of South Australia has a guide to using SAILIS, available at https://guides.slsa.sa.gov.au/c.php?g=901581
Begin your search at https://sailis.lssa.com.au/home/auth/login. You may be able to find survey plans, certificates of title, valuations and registered dealings over the land parcel (such as transfers, mortgages or sub-divisions). Although the site is set up for (paying) account customers conducting current transactions; by selecting Guest User, you can access the historical data without any sign-up.
If you hold your mouse pointer over the entries Land Search or Image Search on the orange menu bar, you should see an “historical” option in the drop-down list. You cannot break anything by just exploring but it is well worth your time to go to the SAILIS YouTube channel for tutorials https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOYNx3irUhF55Qussl0VgsA/videos where you can watch Name index Search and Title History Search videos to learn how to get the most from the site.
