If you are able to get your information into a spreadsheet, then there are several built-in functions that can automate the task. Les demonstrated several of these.
Select the block with the names and click on the button on the Ribbon labelled "Text to columns". Answer the questions (that the separator is a space and that you want the results in the blank columns) and run the Wizard.
In the empty cell immediately to the right of the first date (in my case G5), type =LEFT(G4,2) and hit enter. In cell G6, type =RIGHT(G4,3) and enter. You should see the first date split out with the two characters from the left in one cell and three from the right in the other. Copy the functions from cells G5 and Gt into the cells below. In may cae, it is done twice but you could copy the same thing 200 times.
Before you do anything else, select all the data and carry out the operations Edit-Cut, and Edit-Paste Special-Values. Until you do this anyother change you make to the file could lose all your work so far.
Now all the pieces of information have been pulled apart, the next step is to put them back together. Once again, we need some working room. Insert two blank columns between the end of the names and the beginning of the dates and another between the two date columns.
